This heartwarming Disney plot starts in a large ant colony of an anonymous island in the middle of nowhere. Each year the ant colony is forced to gather food for a ruthless band of grasshoppers, and their despicable leader, Hopper. As the time approaches for the grasshoppers to make their annual return, an inventive worker ant name Flik travels from the island in search of warrior bugs to bring back and fight the grasshoppers. While the Queen and Princess Atta are more than happy to get rid of Flik who has a nack of ruining everything with his wacky inventions, (which is how he is able to leave the island) success is not expected. Flik brings back a group of insects from the circus believing they are the warriors he is in search of. Flik inspires the colony to believe in themselves and to stand up against the horrible Hopper and his band once and for all. This is truly a creative storyline and great for little boy’s imagination.
